Han had never talked extensively about his ‘other’. Usually the conversations stopped suddenly when the mistake identities are discovered. He got the impression that the younger guy could travel through space and was renowned for something or another, but little more than that. Setting up bases was far more specific than anyone had ever been with him before and that was something of a surprise to him. His wife had come from a political-military family, but she had largely been a politician and the truth this Han was happier for that.
He’d come home from the Air Force, after serving, with more baggage than he ever expected. He certainly wouldn’t wish that on anyone else.
“Well ...” Han drawled, taking another sip. “... I have to believe working that closely with anyone takes its toll. All the more so during wartime.”
