Thanks almost entirely to daedric influences Jim is unaware of the captain is incredibly inebriated by the time Loki and his small entourage of children arrive. The scent of fire mingles with a heady floral aroma that clings to Jim (and a fair amount of whiskey, it must be said) to the god approaching the happy couple. Felix's patron deity has 'blessed' Jim long before the Asgardian arrived. The conjurer is better put together than Jim is, but won't react as quickly as the captain does to the approach of a child, and the call of their voice.
His grin is wide and completely care free, a twist of something wistful when Jim spies Sigrid and the other children. He doesn't mean to overlook Loki at first--truly it's difficult enough for Jim to focus on more than one thing at a time right now.
"Well hi there!" Someone's going to have to help him back to his feet after he gets down to greet the kids. Probably Felix's job. "That was very nice of you. You didn't have...to..Loki!" It might have seemed impossible for Jim to grin even wider than he had been before but he manages somehow. He looks back to Sigrid. Then to Loki. Back. Forth.
"Is he here looking after you or is it th'other way 'round?" A soft joke with no barbs behind it.
