sohoangel: (did I leave the bookshop on fire?)

"Oh, I sincerely doubt that," he replies to Thor's self-deprecation, his voice smooth in its reassurance. He's being polite, certainly, but it's also simply not within the angel to hate anyone. He doesn't even hate Gabriel and the other archangels for trying to murder him. A brash, obnoxious prince would annoy him, for sure, but hate? Not at all.

He's not expecting Crowley to bring up the flaming sword, although perhaps he should have. Regardless, he ends up blushing rather dramatically and giving Crowley a scandalized look. "I didn't think that part was necessary," he sniffs. "And I most definitely did not intend for War to get ahold of it." He gives Thor a beseeching look. "There were wild animals and Eve was expecting, I couldn't let her and Adam leave without some form of protection."

He takes a sip of mead, swallowing quickly when he realizes that he didn't answer Thor's question. "Humanity must have given it to her. But she was also defeated by the sword, as were the other horsemen. Well, except for Death, but he's a bit of a free agent, that one." He looks at Crowley, thinking over his words now that he's gotten over his embarrassment. "It's entirely possible God had intended that... but that means She knows that I gave my sword away... oh, dear..."
