Caspar knows Amelia well enough that he doesn't doubt it. Adia shared with him her offer of picking apples in their orchard at night to avoid being spotted. It's similar to the kinds of reckless things he'd do for someone he truly cared about (although he's far more punchy than rogue-y).

"It'll be a challenge to bake with a wood stove, but I'll text you once I get the hang of it," Adia promises. "I'm sure we can find a time that wouldn't be disruptive. It's the benefit of living away from the city center."

She finishes off the last of her drink. Caspar takes it without her asking and sets it aside. "If you feel like getting the musicians under control now," he says to Amelia. "I think I'm ready to take my wife for a spin on the dance floor."
