"I'll be the first to admit 'family's a loaded word for anyone, but I'd be willing to bet Jim went ant told his brother about his plans for the classwork and he wasn't too pleased. Swear every time Jim tries to impress the man he just looks more and more like he sucked on a lemon."

The doctor levels out a long, frustrated sigh.

"The only other time Jim's let himself go anywhere near that bad before was when some big shot admiral showed up to check in on George Kirk's kids. Those two didn't speak to each other for two weeks after. Just don't seem like a good relationship."
