Date: 2025-02-05 09:33 pm (UTC)Kirk thinks Spock is in love with his elder brother. Kirk is angry about this not at Spock, but at said brother. Kirk is so incensed that Spock believes there is a possibility for violence.
Why?
He skids to a stop in the corridor outside Sam Kirk's dormitory, eyes very slightly wide from what he has heard of Kirk's tirade.
It almost sounds as though Kirk himself—
—Spock realizes, all at once, what a fool he has been all this time and takes a step into the room to attempt stopping things, to take Kirk aside and explain.
However, Samuel Kirk has the impeccable timing of opening his mouth just then.
